Something is happening in German media. With Zetland as backer, a team of experienced German journalists and media builders – Ann-Kathrin Hipp, Simon Berlin, Moritz Klein and Bojan Albers – is preparing a new member-funded publication for Germany.

Before building a newsroom, the team is listening. On “Mission 401” they are travelling the country to hear from people in all 401 German districts about what kind of journalism they actually want. “tbd” is a working title – to be discussed, to be decided, to be done – and the final name will be chosen together with the public.

Zetland is funding the start-up phase. Once the journalism begins, tbd will be funded by its members – just like Zetland, Uusi Juttu and Demo.
